Verifying authenticity of Moroccan e-visa issued via Atlys application

Has anyone successfully verified an Atlys-generated e-visa for Morocco at border control?

  • Discrepancy: My aunt applied via the Atlys app and received her visa document in under 15 minutes. In contrast, my uncle applied through the official acces-maroc portal and is still pending approval after 72 hours.
  • Verification Failure: When I attempt to input my aunt’s visa reference number into the official government tracking tool to perform a logic check, it returns “Record Not Found.”

Does the app issue a temporary internal ID, or should the official system recognize it immediately? Would love to hear real experiences before they fly next week.

Observe the detail on the document carefully. The official Kingdom of Morocco electronic visa must bear a specific QR code that links directly to the Ministry’s database, not a third-party landing page. History speaks: border officials in Marrakech are very traditional; if the document lacks the official government watermark, she may be denied entry. verify the header for the ‘Royaume du Maroc’ insignia.

This mismatch is actually quite common with third-party apps. Atlys often issues its own internal reference number, which doesn’t always sync with the official acces-maroc tracking system, so “Record Not Found” isn’t unusual.

What matters more is whether the PDF visa itself contains a government-issued visa number, correct passport details, and QR/barcode (if any). Some travelers have entered successfully with Atlys-issued e-visas, but the lack of visibility in the official portal does add risk.

If they’re flying soon, safest move is to verify directly with the airline or a Moroccan consulate before departure.
