Realizing this is not about the general tourist entry but specifically regarding the work entry routes, I’m just letting you know that the Portuguese President has officially approved the changes to the Immigration Law.
The update: This ultimately will be the law moving forward. The Job Seeker Visa is now restricted strictly to “highly qualified” individuals. Further, you must start this process at a Portuguese CONUSLATE in your home country.
The constraint: You can no longer enter as a tourist and apply for this status IN Portugal. If you are already here without it, you cannot switch. Just a heads-up to prevent any wasted trips or sudden legal hurdles.
