MakeMyTrip Canceled My UAE Visa?!

Hey everyone in the Asia Visas group, I just had a weird issue with my UAE visa application through MakeMyTrip. They suddenly canceled it, saying it was due to ‘security reasons’ on their end. They assured me the visa itself wasn’t rejected, just the application via them, and they’ve processed a full refund. My flight is in two weeks, so I’m stressing out! Has anyone else dealt with something like this before? Should I go ahead and reapply directly with the UAE embassy or through another agent? Any tips to avoid this mess? Thanks!

Oh no, that sounds frustrating! I’ve heard of agents canceling apps for random reasons like that. I think reapplying directly with the embassy is your best bet – it’s more reliable and you avoid middleman issues. Did they give any more details on the security thing?

This happened to me last year with a different agent for a Dubai visa! It was some backend glitch, but yeah, reapply directly. I used the official UAE portal and got it approved in 5 days. Just make sure all your docs are solid. Good luck! :+1:

Security reasons? That seems sketchy. MakeMyTrip has been having issues lately. I’d definitely reapply directly to be safe. Have you checked if there’s any flag on your profile or something? Maybe contact their support again for clarity.

Sorry to hear that! Reapplying directly is usually the way to go, but double-check the requirements on the UAE embassy site. Sometimes agents mess up the submission. If your travel is urgent, consider expedited options if available. Hope it works out! :airplane:

Hey, that does happen sometimes with OTAs like MMT – it’s usually their internal security/partner issue, not an actual visa refusal. Since you’ve got your refund and flight is in 2 weeks, I’d reapply ASAP through a reliable agent or directly via an authorised UAE visa partner/airline. Just make sure your documents are super clean (no mismatch in names, travel dates, etc.) to avoid any tech/verification flags again.
