Japan e-Visa approval chances without ITR as an Indian advocate

Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice regarding the 90-day Japan e-Visa application process.

I am an Indian citizen currently working as an advocate. Due to the nature of my practice, the majority of my income is received in cash, and consequently, I do not have Income Tax Returns (ITR) to submit as standard financial proof.

I have sufficient savings in my bank account to cover hostel bookings and flight tickets, which I have already shortlisted. My travel history suggests I am a genuine tourist, having visited Nepal and Malaysia previously.

My main concern is the lack of a formal tax trail. Has anyone here successfully applied for the Japan e-Visa with a similar profile? What alternative documents, such as affidavits or bank certificates, would be accepted in place of the ITR?

Realizing this is not about a standard tourist application but specifically the e-Visa issuance for Indian nationals, I want to clarify the current regulatory stance.

Has anyone from Mumbai or Delhi actually used a chartered accountant’s net worth certificate instead of ITR for this specific purpose?

I am currently analyzing a similar strategic sacrifice regarding document submission.
