Hi everyone, I am currently studying in the US on an F1 visa and planning a short trip to Manila next month. I have read conflicting information online regarding entry requirements for Indian citizens holding valid US visas. Can I get a visa on arrival, or is it a visa-free entry for 14 days? More importantly, has anyone faced issues with airlines in the US refusing boarding without a pre-approved Philippines visa? I want to ensure I have all the necessary documents to avoid being denied at the check-in counter.
Indian passport holders can enter the Philippines visa-free, not visa on arrival.
You get 14 days visa-free by default, and up to 30 days visa-free if you hold a valid visa or residence permit from countries like the US (an F-1 visa is accepted).
Airlines generally do not refuse boarding as long as you have:
-
a passport valid at least 6 months
-
a return or onward ticket
-
accommodation details
-
your valid US visa (carry it physically and digitally)
To avoid any issues at check-in, it’s a good idea to keep a screenshot or printout of the official Philippine visa-free policy, since some airline staff may not be fully updated.
