B1/B2 Visa Appointment Wait Times in Singapore?

Any tips on preparing docs to avoid delays during the wait? Nervous about the interview.

For families, it’s even worse. We waited 9 months for our group’s appointments. Plan way ahead.

Heard wait times might improve in Q2 2025. Fingers crossed! :folded_hands:

@olivia_angel6 Have all financials ready, itinerary, and ties to Singapore. They ask about return intentions.

My renewal was waived, so no wait at all. If you’ve had a visa before, check eligibility.

First-timers like me are stuck at 8 months. Is there a premium service or something?

Thanks for the replies, guys! Yeah, starting early it is. Anyone used a consultancy? Worth it?

Check the US Embassy website daily. They release slots randomly.

Just got an update—the wait is now 10 weeks for some categories? No, that’s wrong. Still long.

@adri_wijaya7 Consultancies charge extra but can help with slots. I did it for $500 and saved time.

For B1, business docs help in expediting if needed.

I finally got my slot! Waited 6 months total. Hang in there.

Expedite worked for me—got in 1 month with employer letter.

Current wait:180 days average per recent forum posts.

If you’re flexible with dates, you can get earlier slots by being quick.

Right now, appointment wait times really depend on your status in Singapore:

  • If you’re a resident (EP, S Pass, Dependant Pass, Student Pass, Work Permit or PR), interview slots are usually available within about a week.

  • But if you’re on a tourist visa or Long-Term Visit Pass, there are no slots showing so far - that’s why many non-residents are struggling to book.
